Shipping Policy
WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?
Most orders placed on a weekday will leave our warehouse within 24-48 hours. Orders placed during the weekend will generally ship on Monday. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, we ask that you allow a minimum three additional business days to ship.
Our 48-hour shipping commitment excludes weekends, holidays, closings due to extreme weather conditions and other related delays. Unfortunately because we use 3rd party shippers like UPS, we can only estimate transit times. Please use your tracking number to monitor delivery.

See the map below to estimate how long your order(s) will take to reach you, once they leave our warehouse. Please keep in mind that UPS does not include day the order is picked up, weekends or holidays in these estimated shipping times. Bad weather may occasionally cause UPS shipping delays. Brew Pigeon is currently only able to ship through UPS Ground.
Although many factors are out of our control, we will always do our best to have your package delivered by your requested arrival date.

Brew Pigeon orders are fulfilled and shipped through VanBeverage LLC.
Credit Card charges and return labels will appear as Brew Pigeon or VanBeverage LLC.

LEGAL AGE REQUIREMENT: ALL BUYERS AND RECIPIENTS OF PURCHASED ALCOHOL MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. Beer sold by Brew Pigeon can be sold and delivered only to a person who is at least 21 years old. By placing an order for beer with Brew Pigeon you represent to us that you are at least 21 years old and the person to whom any beer will be delivered is also 21 years old.
AN ADULT SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED BY LAW FOR ALL DELIVERIES THAT INCLUDE BEER. When your order is delivered, the person receiving will be required to show identification proving that he or she is at least 21 years old. For this reason, we will not ship with instructions to "leave on porch" or any instructions which will not allow a signature to be obtained. If no one is available to receive the package, a subsequent attempt to deliver will be made. We encourage you to use a commercial business address such as your office to assure the fastest delivery time.
DUE TO RESTRICTIONS, BEER CANNOT BE SHIPPED THROUGH THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE OR BY UPS AIR SERVICES. You may not have your delivery made to a Post Office Box, a military address, or any international address (including Canada). Beer also cannot be shipped using air delivery services (Next Day, 2nd Day or 3 Day). All Beer is shipped via UPS services, usually "Ground."
BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OBSERVING ALL APPLICABLE LOCAL AND STATE LAWS REGARDING SHIPMENT OF BEER. Title of all products sold is transferred to the buyer at the time the initial payment is made; this transfer occurs in the state of Ohio. By the act of purchasing alcohol products from Brew Pigeon, the buyer authorizes Brew Pigeon to act on his or her behalf in processing and shipping the order and to engage a common carrier on his or her behalf for shipment of product. By utilizing this service, the purchaser is representing that he or she is acting in compliance with his or her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation and delivery of beer. Please check your state's policies on alcohol shipments prior to placing your order. WARNING: Certain states expressly prohibit the direct importation of alcohol and violation can be punishable as a misdemeanor or felony. It is Brew Pigeon's policy not to ship to certain states where direct shipment is prohibited, and therefore we will not take orders for shipment to AK, HI, UT, MA, AL, OK, RI, DE, KY or other states where prohibited.
The purchaser represents that he or she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of products and is legally entitled to take quantities ordered and once again, confirms that he or she is at least 21 years of age by using/making any purchase on the brewpigeon.com website. The purchaser also acknowledges their 21 years+ age by agreeing to the age verification popup upon entering the brewpigeon.com website.
Brew Pigeon recognizes and complies with all federal, state, and local laws regarding sale of alcohol to adults only. No deliveries will be made to a visibly intoxicated person.
Brew Pigeon ORDERS ARE FULFILLED BY VanBeverage LLC. All credit card charges will reflect the name “Brew Pigeon" or "VanBeverage LLC” and return address labels will reflect the name “Brew Pigeon" or "VanBeverage LLC”. IF AN ORDER IS RETURNED, THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT OF ALL RETURN SHIPPING CHARGES. If any order is returned for failure to provide proper proof of age, or if multiple delivery attempts are unsuccessful, an additional fee will apply for return charges and for any requested reshipment.
Brew Pigeon IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WEATHER RELATED DAMAGE. Common carriers do not provide climate control over shipments and cannot insure our packages from freezing or extremely hot weather. The purchaser assumes all risk brought on by the weather during shipment. Damage related to the weather and climate during shipment is not the responsibility of BREW PIGEON or the common carrier.
Brew Pigeon MAKES NO CLAIM THAT THE BUYER HAS ANY LEGAL RIGHT TO HAVE ALCOHOL SHIPPED TO ANY DESTINATION. Brew Pigeon makes no claims to currently hold nor is obligated to obtain any permits or licenses in the event they are required. The customer is solely responsible for shipment of alcoholic purchases and as such is expected to know and abide by his or her local and state laws.
ALL TRANSACTIONS ARE VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
We make money by helping you experience all that Ohio craft beer has to offer, not by charging you for shipping more than our actual shipping costs. Although shipping beer is both more complex and expensive than shipping t-shirts, we’re doing our best to make it affordable, convenient and easy to understand.
FAQs
I was not home to sign for my box, and it is not here. How can I get my box?
We strongly recommend that you have your beer shipped to a daytime or work address, as the delivery requires an adult signature, but sometimes that is not possible so we understand and will work to make it as easy as possible to get your beer to you.
Please track your package using the UPS app and re-route to a UPS Access Point nearest you (your local UPS Store, CVS, Michael's, AutoZone and other retail locations) if you will not be able to sign and accept the package.
This is a great service provided by UPS that is totally free! Your beer will be held for 5 days at this location, and you may stop in and pick up your beer at your convenience. You must request to re-route a package to a holding location by the night before your scheduled delivery.
Upon unsuccessful delivery, UPS will attempt a second delivery. If again unsuccessful, UPS will hold your beer for 5 days at your local UPS Ship Center before returning it to Brew Pigeon. You may pick up your beer there during this time.
If your box is returned to us, you can either have it shipped again at a new shipping charge; or, local customers can also pick it up at the Brew Pigeon offices at no charge, just email us at brewpigeon.com to schedule a pick up.
Due to maintaining beer quality, returned boxes will be held for no longer than 30 days before being discarded and will not be subject to a refund
Why do you need my phone number?
We and our shipping partners may need to contact you when delivering your beer box. They may call you to ensure your beer is received and signed for by an adult. As your beer cannot be left at your door unattended. We use email to contact you with most questions, but occasionally we may call you if we need to chat with you. We do not share your phone number with anyone other then our shipping partners for the reasons mentioned above.
Shipping Terms:
By placing an order, the Buyer warrants that he/she is at least 21 years of age, and that he/she will be responsible for the shipment being received by a person at least 21 years of age. All goods must be paid for in full prior to delivery. All goods are sold in Ohio and the title is passed to the buyer at the time of the sale. All shipping costs, including insurance, are to be paid by the Buyer. Brew Pigeon makes no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import beverages containing alcohol. By placing an order, you authorize Brew Pigeon to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you. The Buyer is reminded that various states impose limitations on the quantity of alcoholic beverages, which may be purchased and brought into their jurisdiction without requiring the purchaser, the seller or the shipper to possess certain licenses or permits. Brew Pigeon, as a condition of sale, assumes no obligation and bears no responsibility whatsoever for applying for or obtaining any such permits or licenses. Therefore, the Buyer is strongly advised to investigate such limitations and to determine the manner in which alcoholic beverages may lawfully be brought. The Buyer is responsible for all applicable excise, use and sales taxes due their state related to the purchase of any taxable goods.
In accordance with Ohio law, all orders are reviewed, accepted and fulfilled by a licensed retail entity.
